PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Grassroots movement sweeps into Fort Walton Beach with Tax Day Tea Party

Fort Walton Beach, FL – April 7, 2009 – Grassroots activists in Okaloosa County will rally at the Fort Walton Beach Landing on April 15 to demonstrate their frustration with big government spending.

Chris Saccomanno, Fort Walton Beach, organized the Tax Day rally, which is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. He is working with volunteers throughout the county to plan the event. Local Floridians frustrated with out-of-control government spending are urged to join their fellow citizens at the Fort Walton Beach Landing on Wednesday, April 15th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Local Floridians have already taken note of Americans voicing their concerns at Tea Parties across the country, and are anxious to take part themselves. Even in advance of the event location announcement, Saccomanno received several hundred emails and phone calls from across the county. Inquiries continue to pour in and evidence of increasing excitement can be found in discussions of how people can help and how they can spread the word about the Tea Party movement.

The Fort Walton Beach Tax Day Tea Party will be held simultaneously along with over 1,500 other locally-organized tea parties across America as part of a growing nationwide movement allowing everyday citizens to voice their opposition to the excessive federal spending and the increased debt which will burden future generations. 1. Thank you all for your hard work! It is so heartening to see Americans finally coming together to protest the insanity.

  2. I received email about the dates and times of the FWB TEA Party but cannot attend because of work schedule but I did forward the email to friends who are mostly active or retired military. I am pleased to know so many thousands of people are willing to stand up and speak out. Hopefully, Congress and our President will listen. Thank-you and God Bless.

  3. One of these web pages about the tea party at FWB said that around 100 people are expected to show up. I hope we get more than that! I will be there and I would love it if we had 1000 people blocking the street and getting some real attention.

  4. I wish I could be there, but I am deployed to Kuwait. I am fed up with the entire government. I would love to run for office if only I had the credentials and the backing.
